| A lesson to be learnt |
I am writing this because I do not want you all to suffer the same mistake as I did today.
I was filming the Virtual Business Challenge today late into the evening. When I was buying milo from the vending machine at around 5pm, and concentrating very hard on the pouring speed of milo from the nozzle, a very gentle sound call out to me and said "诗雁(yan1)，这么晚还没有回家啊？”
When I turned around, I saw a very familiar figure. Wearing a pink top and brown pants, with an almost alfro(how to spell?) hairstyle. But then it all happened too fast, and what came out of my mouth is,"oh, Auntie"
Man, I called our favourite Mdm Siew AUNTIE. I think she didn't hear that, but then this is a very good warning to all of you out there who has been calling her nicknames in private. Always practise greeting her the correct way, so that you won't blurt out rude nouns during reflex actions like this one. |
