Terence Heng's Law of Students (Part 2) |
Law 3: NJC have inconsiderate students
Example 1:
On 19/04/2006, Wednesday, sometime between 1600 and 1630 hours, on the bus TIBS 1013P (or was it 1019P?), bus number 852 travelling towards the direction of Yishun, there was this group of NJC students, about 10 of them. And all of them refused to move to the rear of the bus, causing great incovenience to those at the front of the bus or those who are boarding the bus. Their selfishness was greatly appreciated. =) Do continue to hog the bus. Apparently you pay more bus fare than us. =)
By the way, they alighted at AJC and I saw them carrying lotsof rackets. I presume they are either from badminton or tennis. (Sorry, I dont really know how to distinguish between these two types of rackets, but judging from the size, I assume that they are from badminton)
Example 2:
On the same bus, there was another NJC guy who was NOT related to the above-mentioned sports team. However, he had this super-duper-uber way of sitting. The usual way of sitting is to face the front of the bus, that is, you are facing in a direction parallel to the motion of the bus. However, instead of conforming to the norm, he chose to sit in such a way that his legs were partially blocking the aisle, that is, he was seated facing in a direction perpendicular to the motion of the bus.
Plus, his bags were placed in front of his legs, which means his legs AND his belongings were obstructing the passageway.
And no, you can't sue me for defaming them. What I have stated are facts. I've even got the date, time and the bus number on which these incidences happened. I've got evidence here... :p |

The Flaming Chariot |
this title sounds quite catchy rite? reminds one of the greek or roman traditions, whereby the warrior will ride on his trusted chariot, pulled along by his stallions. well, that really describes us rite? we are the warriors, the beholders of our class, the most remarkable bunch of our batch... oopz, exaggerating beyond boundaries. in any way, we have been rather obedient and obeyed the laws of magnetism. unlike poles attract, just as our different personalities complement each other... oopz, learnt this from blogthings, which i am seriously addicted to. haha.
ya, since i tio food poisoning, which means i can't go to school earlier on... haiz, really sad, because i cannot enjoy the fun and that i have to walk around wobbly, like jelly, not lily. oopz trying to get some rhyming. ya, ever since that three weeks epic adventures on the eyeland, i have learnt to gather information about everything in school through the marvellous invention: cups and string. oopz, i mean the phone. ya, it is so useful that it shall allow me to be a stalker in future, following in the footsteps of our ever graceful seniors grace.
from reliable sources, i heard that the heats for today was super waste of time. ya, today is supposed to be the best day for outings, especially when everyone is released at 130pm. instead, the rest of the class, which means i was not there coz i didn't use we, had to slog and melt and whimper under the scorching fireball. ya, the time was wasted on constant heating, but i guess it was all worth it, despite the cruel fact that most of the participants were trackers, which leaves little room for competition. so i think the rest of the PARTICIPANTS will have to scavenge over what's left. ya, to our mr luyang, please take care of urself. heard u sprained ur back... and to the rest of the peeps who ran, like bentan who got THIRD for his individual 100m event, WOOHOO!!! congrats. for the rest who ran for their individual events, which i am not sure of, take it easy. its only the heats, not the oven... ya, for getting fifth for both team events, i think all 16 of u deserve a warm and wet french kiss from our dear terence heng and his wife.( god knows who it is now...)
anyway, to add on, i heard that junquan came back. ya, thanks also, to take time off ur hectic schedule to join us. good luck on catching up on ur work. heard also that many ppl were sleeping and dozing off while waiting, like yan yin and jiawei and yu tse and many more. must be super boring rite?
in the heat, it must be horrendously taxing. ya, as the chemical reaction goes, bond forming is an exothermic process. to sweat it all out in the short span of time when the baton is passed, the instant of exhiliration as fate is passed on to our trusted ones, it is the best. life will never be the same again! remember this instant hor!!! |

Terence Heng's Laws of Students |
Law 1: Arts students cannot do their math.
Example 1:
reminds me of two irrelevant things which happened in school today. when i was handing in the passport photo to 王俊义 in the LEP staff room, he was counting money. then he asked me what's 13 x $50. without thinking i said $1750. he seems to believe at first, but later he did his own calculations (it's actually $650).
and he asked: "你是 arts class 的吗?"
-- Quoted from Lee Heng's blog, from 06A12, HCI (College)
Link to entry: http://horizontal.flying-away.net/2006_03_01_#114347851278149186
Example 2:
3 + 2 + 1 = 5
-- Quoted from Si Ting of 06A12, HCI (College)
Law 2: Science Special Programme students have very bad life skills.
Example 1: One fine morning, after having my mee rebus breakfast in the school's canteen, I proceeded to return the plate and my utensils back into the collecting bin. Surprisingly, the bin was not at is usual spot (i.e, at the lower section ofthe canteen, just next to the short flight of steps). Coincidentally, the TeoCC lookalike (TeoCC is a Lower Sec Science teacher from Chinese High with more than 25 years of teaching experience. In Chinese High. ), who I know is in the Science Speical Programme, also just finished her meal (presumably to be mee rebus as well) and she looked stunned to see that the bin had vanished!
Poof! Disappeared! Bermuda triangulated! I bet these words/phrases must have crossed her mind more than 6498325875209713295729^305302153972 times.
But I just ignored her, for i know that there is another collecting bin in front of the stall itself. After I disposed my plate and cutlery into the bin, I am shocked to see her plate and cutlery had vanished as well.
Poof! Disappeared! Bermuda triangulated.
It only took me 1/32918709127309217593872092572^92709137108231865 of a second to realise that she had dumped her utensils into another bin, which belongs to another stall.
If she had dumped her utensils into the Indian Muslim food stall, things are not as bad as it seemed.
But to her left when she stood there staring at emptiness, still feeling stunned about the missing bin, is the bin for the Western Food stall. |

Hear Ye All |
In conjuction with the "Save Athena" campagin and the "Thrash-All-Other-Fac" Mission, L-CO propose that all members of the 06s6c fameily join in the NYG-HCI sports meet. Each of us should at least join 3 individual events (the max. number of individual event one can take is 3) and 2 relays (each CT can send more than 1 relay group to compete). Such that we can secure at least 5 points (for participation) per person, meaning at least 130 points for our class alone. This is our chance to bring glory to Athena, so juz join. |
