Hey hey hey
The CNY hols is finally coming to an end... I hope that everyone has eaten to their fullest and their pockets full too :p
A class run will be very nice after the holidays.. Work on our napfa and ownself's health. I am not sure how far is botanic garden from school, but KAP is quite a good distance to run. Looks like we gonna have some tight schedule ahead of us this week. Of course if you have CCA and other commitments, your spiritual forces will have to stay behind with the class. Is that too much to ask for? =D
I am now still in Jakarta.. 5hrs to my flight.. will be reaching sg like 11pm? reach home midnight le..What a bad timing to return Singapore. Somemore tml still got quiz. Bah, gonna study soon..
Btw, if anyone can use photoshop, I am thinking that we can add some speech to the bears (are they?) Something like "look the rainbow" or some others.. Nevertheless, lets give a round of applause for Terence who took much effort to make this website. It is really very nice. Especially the side banners. Haha, it almost made me laugh to tears. Great job.
Gotta go and prepare liaoz.. see ya tomorrow! |

hey hey
the time spent on the banner was indeed worth it. to really put things plainly, we poured in all our sweat and our passion. it was really nice watching everyone put in their due efforts in putting the banner together. good work to everyone for the words, and to shawn especially, for saving the sky. street soccer was really interesting, coz big boss kept going to different sides and it was really unpredictable when he would just carry on with his infamous trick - own goal. it was real wet at the court, so those afraid of the water, watch out...
curry wok gave birth to new technical terms which arised from phenomena which somehow rose between us. two tables, one the crazy bitching table, and the other the UN discussion conference board. well, this applies to all occassions, in use of comparisons.
happy new year to everyone. keep fit for the cross country and keep in touch with your angels and mortals. have fun and look forward to more crazy, erm scary?, outings!!! |

these are 2 of the many photos coming up. (Qijia and Yue Kai not included because they were taking the photos, Kia Hui & Jing ting & Terence had to leave early). The hours spent at the amphitheatre painting the banner were well-spent and we even got to play street soccer. After that we went to curry wok for dinner! |

daring daredevils |
haha, today is the eve of the eve of Chinese New year. of course, it is as usual quite monotonous for the events that were organized in the earlier part of the morning. guess everyone was still trying to climb out of their sleep. we went to TCHS for a while, ok, for fun. after which, a mob of harrassers were pestering us to splurge our money on their products, which i think is quite worth it. well, i didn't really buy anything much, but my wallet really burned a hole!
after which was mass dance. OMG, it was damn nice and i quickly got the hang of it. it was real nice to dance with classmates, especially with seniors as well. haha, i kinda "convinced" grace, who pulled and tugged and begged her gang to join her in the dance. after which was the faculty dance, and grace was once again ultra-sporty and the seniors also came down to dance. i soon found out that they backed out quite soon as they didn't learn the dance at all so it was pointless to dance like idiots. yes, we did not win, but we did so much better than expected. it was super nice and i really think if we had enough practises, we shall win. nvm, it's the fun that counts.
aftermath of the morning celebrations was a brief lao-ing of yusheng at the canteen. our seniors and grand seniors tagged along and it was quite fun. blah blah, we went over to marina square after having lunch at city hall. it was very sianz, since we were separated into our different interest groups. for 6c we went bowling while the others went for movies. we lazed around for a bit after 2 games of bowling each. for the seniors cum movie group, everyone came out with bloodshot eyes. it was more of holding back tears than exhaustion. yes i guess the movie i not stupid 2 was really touching. well, we were contrasting, coz we didn't watch the movie so we were able to cheer everyone up.
anyway, our big boss made a new year resolution to stop teasing girls. well, it didn't last long and soon enough, he was bitching and scaring poor xiaoying. grace and jia-en finally met their match and backed off after bouts of cat-fights. xiaoying was left to fend for her own against the fierce attacks of the big boss, and the guy seniors juz stepped in to her defense. well, big boss triumphed in the end... the whole process was totally funny and i was like laughing and eating at the same time...
wanted to go arcade later, but since chee jia didn't have extra casual clothes, we abandoned the idea and settled for a huge empty spot outside the marina square. we sat in a circle and played disastrous numbers. there were a lot of forfeits and many of which are disgusting, thought up by our very own big boss and WAX! well, there were forfeits like "guy-guy kissing on the cheeks", "girl-girl sitting on the lap and stroking", "mary had a little lamb around the oasis", "licking shawn's ear" and "squeeze the bon-bons" etc. it was super cruel and i almost had stitches from laughing too much. as we played, the fireworks came up from behind the esplanade and we were totally shocked and exhilirated. it was totally beautiful and it was a heartwarming action, to welcome our classes, each individual fusing into one big harmonious family. it was indescribable...
come to think of it, this is second to only the orientation campfire. really look forward to more outings! |

huang cheng reunion dinner tonite! im not sure whether this should be posted in the class blog cuz abit irrelevant. haha. so forgive me if its boring for you. anywae since S6C dominates the huang cheng xuan chuan dept and we have so many ppl in yellow city im going to tok abt it! besides the xuan chuan girls and terence heng and chin kiat and lan fang, todae we welcome the new honorary part time workers in yellow city from 6C! yanmin and yunzhou!!! helping us paint the banner!! so people who want to join us muz come down and help us if you can make it oso!
the War of the Paint continued in todae's banner painting. the casualties are doubly as serious as those suffered previously. no arm was spared from paint. no leg escaped the ruthless brush strokes. even necks and toenails had yellow, pink, blue and black paint stained on their originally flawless skin. the source of the war. jeanie! heavy casualty: kiamian kiahui jeanie yanmin yunzhou. may their skin cells rest in peace.
for those who din go for the reunion dinner, unfortunately you missed out on the Wedding Dinner of the Century. the chance to witness the union of another two members of our beloved class, the second couple to marry in less then 3 weeks of school. will they end up like the first pair [ct rep and lan fang]....or live happily ever after? rumors of a third party has already started spreading around.....for wedding photos......look for jeanie kiamian or yu-yin!
i realised this is quite a lame post. paiseh. |

new year liao! |
wah...2006 chinese new year doesn't seem very enthusiastic. or is it my problem, i just don't feel the atmosphere around. perhaps i should go down to chinatown sometime. I was really busy for the orientation the first two weeks which are hectic and exhausting, then there is the schoolwork and formulas/concepts to catch up on. then suddenly, chinese new year is right smack in front of me. guess the atmosphere just doesn't have enough time to build up. anyway, my house is nicely decorated already and i'm going to "wrap dumplings" (according to terence heng's translation). haha, trying to show off the skill i've learnt at lep's "workshop". then i came down with fever. a bad way to start a new year. rumours say alot of people fell ill during festivals because of the 节气.dunno true or not. anyway, for those who are healthy and vibrant, wish you a very HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! and for those who are unfortunately unwell, hope you could GET WELL SOON and HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR ! |

My first post!
I never blogged before so this feels weird. I think kbox was quite fun la. I didnt waste my money ok. And i was singing along to most of the songs although i never heard most of them before. Only that i didnt sing into the mike lar. Especially when everybody goes quiet to hear me sing.
And i wasnt bored ok. Im just mike-shy. Whatever the term is. The kbox session is ok la just not cosy enough. Other than that the song were quite okay what. Although im not much of a chinese songs person. And not much of a singer too. But i sort of enjoyed myself too. So it was ok.
Thats about all. See everyone in school! |

first visit to k box... hopefully second time will be better... |
ytdz kbox claz outing was fun... altho not perfect... but then nthgz perfect, or can ever be... ok, newae...
i thk terence's "rules" make sense... haha... but most of us hvnt gone to kbox before, so our k-etiquette (mi newly invented word) is not v gd... hopefully when we go kbox again it'll be better... it was quite weird hvg a whole strings of songs by e same singers tho... but itz ok... altho more variation will do well too... everythgz best in moderation... too many of smthg nice might hv negative response...
i hv an idea... nxt time juz pass e mics down e line n everyone can take turns singing... even those who r too shy to sing will hv to sing too! but then, shared-mic singing is fun too... mass singing fr e more lively songs perhaps...
newae, r there alot of ex-choir ppl in our claz?
oh, n our claz has quite a few hidden talents too - terence phay, fr instance! terence, join ge fang during second intake! ge fang has v few guyz lor... dunno why... out of e 12 J1s in ge fang now, therez onli 4 guyz... 8 girlz... why ah?
back to how we hv a whole string of songs by e same singers... there was alot of lee hom, lin junjie. mayday n jay chou... but v few stef sun... too bad wu lin din go... haha... but then, everythg in moderation fr e best...
newae, wad do u all thk of an intra-claz angel-mortal game? our present a-m game enables juniors n seniors to noe each other better... but wad abt w/in our own claz? most of u guyz frm chinese high prob noes one another pretty well... but wad abt e rest? i thk we need to noe more abt our own classmates... so perhaps an internal a-m game will be able to serve tt purpose?
b4 i go, juz wanna say: 珊瑚海 rox!!! luv tt song... |

kbox session yesterdae was realli quite fun for me, maybe because i was the one who broke all the rules? haha..it wasnt the first time i went, in fact i went too many times liao..so broke..haiz.. but its was one the most interesting trip to kbox i have had. previously i always went with my few frenz who were excellent singers...super nice voice and everything..so i kind of din dare to sing and despite how they try to encourage me, im still abit paiseh lar..but yesterdae was realli like, you can feel how everyone's not caring about each other's faults. at least it feels like that for me lar. there were lots of mike sharings and mass singing together which was realli realli fun, and there were some solos for the realli brave ones too! in the end i think i only selected one song, which was at the end of the list and i din get to sing it, but the songs others selected were all very nice! hahaha didnt expect you guys to choose so many JJ's songs also..who chose them? you rawk! i admit we shouldnt mass select one singer's song, cuz there may be people who dun like that particular singer..quite inconsiderate..so if there's still a next time, people must speak up on wad songs you like or oppose to the choices if anyone thinks there are too many of the same type..oh and if someone selects the song for herself or himself to solo must speak up so we will know! i would definitely welcome that. claps! =)
ps. sorry ct rep, im realli not trying to rebutt you on this...but i liked the Dang Ni Gu Dan Ni Hui Xiang Qi Shui alot! lol. |

KBOX |
Guess what! I didn't enjoy myself during the KBOX session.
It's not your fault. No one's to be blamed. Or maybe I should take the blame, since I actually expect you guys to follow my "KBOX rules". But it's okay if you don't follow and you guys are not the only ones that don't follow my "rules".
Singing with a large group of people isn't really as fun as you think. Yes, we can get high easily. But that's about it. You only feel high and nothing else. And once saturation point is reached, you'll get sian very easily.
Since half of those who went KBOX are first-timers (and most of the rest doesn't look like a frequent singer of KBOX), you did something what ALL first-timers would do -- mass select songs, especially songs of a particular singer.
For example:
Person A scrools to the JJ Lim's song list.
Person B: I want this song!
Person C: I want that song!!
Person D: I want both songs!!!
Person E: I want ALL THE SONGS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember, we only have 3 hours. Other people would like to sing too. Economists call this "scarcity" since the limited resources are unable to satisfy the first-timers unlimited wants.
I call this being inconsiderate.
And some songs are really not meant to be sung by so many people. Especially 抒情歌 (Shu1 Qing2 Ge1). When so many of us start to sing this type of songs, the "feel" is lost. It no longer is a "shu qing ge", but a nursery rhyme, just to put it crudely. Like "Dang Ni Gu Dan Ni Hui Xiang Qi Shui". You guys just subconsciously ruin the songs.
Next, I understand that many of you were/are from choir. But this is KBOX karaoke singing session. You MUST not use your way of singing in choir to sing pop songs. It doesn't work this way.
I am not claming that you sung badly. You guys sang well. But, just well. Period. Nothing else.
Boring.
Learn from Terence Phay. He has got the techniques (to sing pop songs). He only needs more practice to perfect his skills.
Of course, many can rebutt by saying that we go KBOX just to have fun and be high also place emphasis on the correct ambience and feeling.
A song has this particular melody and lyrics because it has certain message to send across. I respect the composer's works and I would like to present his work in the way which he wants it to be presented.
Oh before I end, I prefer to do it this way: Pass the remote around so that everybody gets his/her turn to make a selection and sing, instead of grabbing the remote and making selections whenever a song pops out in your head or make mass eleciton.
Cheers!
P.S. As I have mentioned earlier, nobody is at fault. You are not compelled or obliged to follow my "house rules". I can always make some compromise, "close one eye" or not go with you guys to KBOX. The above is only my personal viewpoints. You are entitled to disagree with me. But do not ask me to shut up. Respect my views as much as if you want me to respect yours. |

Seasons in the sun |
hee2 today is such a fine day. before that, i was still hesitant about whether to reject the kbox idea, but decided to go along with it, since everyone is like so enthu about it. anyway, we went to cine and i happened to be the most shabbily dressed. haiz, but who cares. we were a group of 17 i guess and we got a room "69" if i am not wrong. WOW! it was like the biggest kbox room that i ever saw and it had a friggin projector. yesh, it was that good, and for once the kbox system at cine didn't require tons of restarts! we sang a lot, and we discovered many singing talents in our class, not including me. the most shocking thing was about terence (both) since both of them could reach high pitches so easily. really gets on my nerves... i am so JEALOUS! well, i almost killed myself, suffocated my windpipe. nvm, i sang too much and my veins were all waiting to burst. bentan and shawn were very scared of the mike, as much as monroe was scared of the chapteh.
after which, we went back to school for our banner. it was really very sian, but in the end we did well. shawn's ingenious way of making the fireworks was really great, after my attempt to blow the fireworks out failed. well, i could only admit defeat and it was only humility which really pushed projects away from those who could manage it. qindan and etc were in charge of the words and i really have to say that she and yunzhou and shiyan and lanfang were really good at the words. the dogs were really a mess, but i guess they turned out ok....
after which, after playing soccer and taking tons of photos, we went for dinner at curry wok. it was my first time there, but the utensils and the atmosphere there was really homely and the food was value for money. we got to stay in the restaurant for so late that they were past their opening hours and i was still quite clueless why we had to leave... we cracked lots of jokes and many of which are so lame that only spastics will laugh at. more of the jokes came from the bitching between CT and the girls. it was really really stupid but very fun. well, i could only say that i must thank my stomach for being so elastic. i guess more of such laughs will squeeze out our six packs. oopz.
monroe totally screams like a banshee and i bet she is younger than me!!!
for those who did not turn up, aren't you totally jealous?! ok, dun come hacking after me with a chopper or threatening to french kiss me like what CT always threatens to. |

OMG |
AHHH!!!
all of u really go and pia chinese. oh my god, and i am in LEP class and i am neither proficient in chinese nor english. gosh, i think i should just kill myself... haha. anyway, it is so nice to see all of us worrying so much for the emotional welfare of our classmates, especially that of our joybringer. well, if the happiest in class were to fall, what's left for our class to look up to?
anyway, these few days with our seniors have really led me into a new lease of hwachong life. yes, the seniors are totally warm. yes, we have been passing angel-mortal letters around to read and unravelling, or should i say rake up, a lot of scandals. in case no one has noticed, our gossipy seniors have been chasing us for class scandals, which i don't think exist. in any case, we have been picking up new sports eh? guess it's my influence bah.... now we have the pro seniors and our class playing chapteh, and as i said, it is really one of the best ways to socialize and make friends. it ties bonds even more easily!
i am not so much into long essays which will indeed be so boring for everyone. i can only interest everyone with my drawings i guess? clap clap lei... haha i sound so shameless. yes indeed, our class is very fun and our jokes are really so classic it is almost retro. perhaps it is? class outing tmr pluz banner. i guess it shall be the best thing to happen, since most of us can make it. what better way to celebrate our release from school!!!
kudos. cya guys tmr... 1030 at cine hor!!! really cannot wait!!! |

Live life to the fullest. “若快乐有尽头,痛苦也不会不朽“ |

Scarcity |
Each and everyone of us have our own commitments, we have goals to pursue, we want to enjoy ourselves, we have many other wants. We want to participate in CCA, we want to play afool in our own class, we want to paint banner together, we want to go kBox, we have many other wants...
Time is limited.
24 hours a day, not more, not less. To many, time is more than enough. To many more, time is never enough. Just like Terence, he has his own commitments, his own dreams, his goals. Do well in studies, have fun together, achieve as much in CCA, family time, friend's time, personal time. He is not the only one facing this problem. He speaks everyone's heart out. His post pointed out this important question...
"What do I want?"
Pause and think. Why are you here? To mug? To know more friends? To slack? To have fun with the fellow schoolmates or classmates? To pursue your ambition?
"What do YOU want?"
Your choice to be a mugger, to be a slacker, or to make a friend of life. Your choice to be ANYTHING.
6 years of primary school education, 4 years of secondary school life. We are here, a brand new page of our life. We can choose to let history repeat itself again, or create your own legend. I don't have a happy primary school life, nor first 2 years of secondary school. Life was just about getting a pass in English, mugging, and studying. Slacking in CCA seem to be a daily routine. It was boring.
I would not let history repeats again.
Reading this post again, it makes me wonder if I am pessimistic about life. I was, but not anymore, after meeting you guys. Life is not just about mugging, nor about sleeping and slacking, but, to have fun together, jokes around, laughs around, plays around. Things will go around ultimately.
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going - Outdoor Adventure Club
With a new page of life unfold, lets colour it with our laughters, our hope, our achievements, our friendship.
Don't leaves blank in your life. Fill it in. It is not too late.
People treasure only when they have lost it. Don't make time one of them.
P.S. This is the first time I write such essays, or composition, or blog, may sound very serious, and stupid at times. It sets me thinking, could it be just some crap? However, I am just trying to vent my emotional feelings. Anyone not too comfortable with my post can tell me (secretly) and I would gladly remove this entry. |

Misconception |
"Stop mugging leh..."

end

actually i dun really remember much, juz a lot of shouting and everyone staring at me like i was some loanshark. but nvm, since it was so noisy everywhere. we were basically singing our way back and making so much noise. everyone living around the area muz hate us!!! for me, i sat with the seniors with xinyi and played the number game. haiz, never tio b4 and should be quite luck |
